FUELS REDUCTION SERVICES

Fuels reduction is a vital part in mitigating the severity of forest fires. There are several practices that contribute to fuels reduction of fire fuels in the forest. One of these practices include thinning. Culling the forest of various fuels has proven to significantly reduce fire hazard.

According to the US Forest Service General Technical Report and the Healthy Forest Initiative, broad-scale thinning and fuels reduction is a significantly more economical and proactive method to address forest fires as opposed to reactive fire suppression measures. Responsible and appropriate logging practices can serve to be economically profitable to a region, along with addressing various fire fuel reduction.
